Microsoft have announced price rises across the board for its Microsoft 365 plans. The suite, previously known as Office 365 will see price increases of up to 20% from March 2022.
Why increase the price by so much?
Microsoft have identified this action as the first substantive price update since Office 365 was launched 10 years ago and feel that the increases still represent great value to users.
“This updated pricing reflects the increased value we have delivered to our customers over the past 10 years.” Jared Spataro, Corporate Vice President for Microsoft 365
Microsoft point towards the significant additional apps, features and functionality that are now included within Microsoft 365, and have identified the huge benefit that businesses have derived from the Teams platform during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Microsoft continue to drive innovation in the Microsoft 365 platform in three main areas:-
Communication and Collaboration
Security and Compliance
AI and Automation
